tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 「Someday, the Life of a Major」 expressed its willingness to work hard, vowing to restore trust with viewers through a warm growth narrative and realistic characters despite concerns over medical gaps and strikes.
On the afternoon of the 15th, a director's talk on tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 「Someday, the Life of a Major」 was held in Myeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. Creator Shin Won-ho and director Lee Min-soo attended the meeting.
'Life of a Slugi-ul Major' (Creator Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung/Director Lee Min-soo/ Scriptwriter Kim Song-hee / Planning CJ ENM Studios/Production Eggs Coming) 'Unseuljeon' is the first spin-off series that connects the worldview of 'Wise Doctor Life' and deals with the growth period of four young residents set in the obstetrics and gynecology department of Jongno Yulje Hospital.
Creator Shin Won-ho participated as a producer instead of directing in this work and said it was his first and new challenge. He said "I tried to watch the drama I directed calmly, but this time, I felt like a parent." "I watched it dozens of times, but I got emotional all the way out of the show."
Even before its release, 'Unseuljeon' had both expectations and concerns. There was controversy over timeliness in the aftermath of the major's strike and the setting that featured four residents in the background of obstetrics and gynecology was out of touch with realityDid you point out "??Moon. In response, director Lee Min-soo focused on the chemistry and growth narrative of four unfamiliar youths becoming friends, rather than a drama of a specific profession. A warm and pleasant story will unfold throughout the 12-episode series." Creator Shin Won-ho also said, `These days are not the time to watch the growth of new employees. In that sense, the real weapon of this drama is 'growth narrative'. There is a touching feeling of the cute and lovely characters growing up,' he stressed.

First of all, about actor Ko Yoon-jung, he was an easy-going actor in a new style that reversed the prejudice that came from his appearance. He explained, "The expression from expressionless expression is excellent, so it fits perfectly with Oi-yeong." Cynthia was selected as an actor who had a deep emotional line in her coy impression and had a 1400:1 competition ratio.
As for actor Kang Yoo-seok, who plays the role of Um Jae-il, "An actor who is ordinary on the outside but is centered on the center of gravity inside. I felt similar to Ahn Jae Hong's casting."
In particular, as for Jung Joon-won as Koo, Jung Joon-won came to mind as he was looking for a character like a reliable but easy-going person 'real adult'. A charming actor with his acting skills as well as his everyday life."
Next, actor Han Ye-ji was an acting monster, even though he auditioned for the first time in his life, and even though it was his first major film, he was not afraid or nervous"It was highly anticipated.
The setting that captures the bold aspects of the MZ generation is also eye-catching. Director Lee Min-soo said, `I started my career as a doctor at some point, but I thought characters like Ohi-young, who are gradually growing, could reach viewers more dramatically than a story I started with a sense of calling as a doctor", he explained. Creator Shin Won-ho also wanted to capture the younger generation with the eyes of the upper generation looking down at them rather than forcibly defining the MZ generation. I thought it was sometimes more accurate for adults to point out features they didn't know," he added.
When asked what kind of drama viewers would like to remember after the last episode of `Unseuljeon' aired, director Lee Min-soo said, `I hope it is a work that is loved by many people,' and creator Shin Won-ho said, `The actors call me 'Grandpa', and most of the actors and staff who participated in the work are really just starting their careers. I hope that they grow up safely in blessings, and I hope that this work will remain a strong supporting career when they do their jobs.
'Unseuljeon' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. on tvN.
