The production briefing for the movie 'Soju War' was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 24th. Yoo Hae-jin, Lee Je-hoon, Son Hyun-joo, and Choi Young-joon attended the event.
Choi In-beom's MBTI, an employee of a global investment company played by Lee Je-hoon, is EntJ. There is only a one-letter difference from Lee Je-hoon's actual MBTI, ENTP. When I read the scenario, Lee Je-hoon "I don't think there were many parts where the character Choi In-beom felt unfamiliar or foreign to me. I loved it so much, and I thought that this character has many aspects that are consistent with the motto of performanceism or work and life is life in the direction of materialism pursued by friends living in today's era. Since the background of the movie began in 1997, even though it has already been over 20 years, there is not much difference when you think about what has changed from now. It's about that time, but I think it would be nice if you could see how different it was then and now when it was introduced to the audience in 2025, and how the values of living life are the same."
'Soju War' is a story about the 1997 IMF financial crisis, the life of a soju company, the financial director Jongrok, and a global investment company employee who pursues only achievements, confronts the fate of the Korean people's soju. Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Je-hoon have their first meeting on screen, raising expectations.
It will be released on June 3rd.
