JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama "Good Boy" proved to be the most powerful work this summer, topping the drama's popularity for three consecutive weeks.

According to the TV-OTT integrated drama category for the second week of June released by Good Data Corporation, 'Good Boy' remained at the top for three consecutive weeks, and Park Bo-gum ranked first for three consecutive weeks in the actor's top spot. The sixth episode, which aired on the 16th, continued its upward trend, breaking its own highest ratings.

The explosive popularity of 'Goodboy' is explained by three axes. The first is the pleasant teamwork of a strong special team consisting of national team medalists-turned-police. Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-i, Heo Sung-tae and Tae Won-seok, respectively, are police officers who have played in boxing, shooting, fencing, wrestling, and discus throwing, respectively.

The second is Park Bo-gum's 'Face of Heaven'. From the justice-filled bulldozer instinct to a bright straight romance, and the pain and anger behind it, it expresses the character of Yun Dong-ju in three dimensions, drawing viewers' admiration in each episode. His transformation, which spans a wide spectrum from action to emotional acting, has become the centerpiece of 'Good Boy'.

The last axis is Oh Jung-se, who dominated the play with his cool presence. Min Ju-young, who is an ordinary public servant on the outside but actually coordinates evil acts on top of power, revealed his peak violence through a scene in which he hit Mayor Noh Deok-gyu's head with a plaque on the last broadcast. His eerie expressionless expression and cold tone are responsible for the tension of 'Goodboy'.

'Good Boy' is increasing its attractiveness by putting both pleasure and weight on top of the setting of a head-on conflict of absolute power with the national special team. In the sixth inning, the moment he thought he drove Min Ju-young, he was hit with a powerful counter punch, raising tension.

JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Good Boy' airs every Saturday night at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. and is released simultaneously worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
