On the afternoon of the 2nd, a press and distribution preview was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The premiere was attended by Jung Ji-so as Misol, who has a rare syndrome that gave up dreams and love, Cha Hak-yeon as Min-joon, a fruit young man who fell in love with Misol, and director Cho Young-joon.
Director Cho Young-joon said, `It's been more than 20 years since the original work came out. In the meantime, people's sensitivity and fashion have changed. Prior to the remake, the code of love, which does not change regardless of generation, remained the same. I tried to make a movie without forgetting the core of pure love between men and women," he said of his intention to direct.
About collaborating with music director Lee Chan-hyuk "I knew for the first time with this work that making a music movie is so difficult. The main character tried to capture his growth in the process of making and singing a song. So I needed a song for that sequence. He continued to work with Lee Chan-hyuk for a year in advance to make a song that fits the theme. I made 5 times more songs than the ones in the movie. After Jung Ji-so was cast, many processes were needed, including arranging for the actor and selecting candidates to complete the film. It took about a year and a half to make a music movie."
The remake of the Japanese movie of the same name directed by Norichiro Koizumi is a story about a woman and a man who can only date in the middle of the night falling in love with each other through music and challenging to achieve their dreams together. Jung Ji-so, Cha Hak-yeon, Jung Woong-in, Jin Kyung, and Kwon Kwon-sol appeared, and director Cho Young-joon of 'Chaebi' took the megaphone. It will be released on the 11th.
