"Chef of the Tyrant" If it's not for Lim Yoon-ah, will this explosive rise be possible.

Im Yoon-ah is performing her role as French chef Yeon Ji-young, who met Wang Lee Hun (Lee Chae-min), the worst tyrant and absolute taste holder, by time-slip into the past at the best moment in tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama "The Tyrant's Chef" (directed by Jang Tae-yu).

In the 8th episode, Yeon Ji-young was devastated when the red pepper powder, which was the secret weapon to be used in the first competition, disappeared, but soon took a breath and reimagined the taste that did not exist in this era, and shook the taste of the Ming envoy, Ugon (Kim Hyung-mook), by introducing Beef Bourguignon using rice wine with a brilliant idea.

Before the competition score was announced, Yeon Ji-young revealed in sharp reasoning that the Ming master Abisu (Moon Seung-yu) used the red pepper powder he had prepared and behind it was the Zesan Daegun (Choi Gui-hwa), but Yeon Ji-young also mentioned the responsibility of failing to protect the ingredients and the competition ended in a draw.

Yeon Ji-young, who chose Peking duck as the main menu in the second contest, was helped by Gil-geum (Yoon Seo-ah) because her hands were not good, and even when she learned about Maeng Sook-soo (Hong Jin-ki), who was threatened by Kang Mok-ju (Kang Han-na), she completed the dish with unwavering concentration, receiving praise from Lee Heon and Wugon as the ending was ahead of the score announcement, raising viewers' curiosity to the highest level.

In the process, Lim Yoon-ah maximized her immersion in the scene with her detailed and solid acting skills that lead the emotions like a flow from the moment she was devastated by the disappearance of important ingredients to the moment she was completely breathing again, coming up with new recipes and coping wisely, to the leadership of confidently leading the nuns.

In particular, Lim Yoon-ah built each scene of the cooking competition throughout the play with tension with her unique delicate breathing and natural expression to hold the viewers' eyes to the end, and in fact, she minimized the stand-in to further strengthen the persuasion of the character.

Meanwhile, episode 8 of "The Tyrant's Chef" achieved its highest ratings by recording 15.4% nationwide, up to 17.4%, 15.8% in the metropolitan area, and up to 18.1% (based on Nielsen Korea) thanks to Im Yoon-ah's good performance, and can be seen every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m. on tvN.
