The first performance of '100 Memories' perfectly reproduced tickets and music cafes...I delivered the echo of youth

JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 『100 Memories』 shook the hearts of viewers by unraveling the friendship and first love of young people in the 1980s with analog sensitivity from the first broadcast.

The first episode, which aired on the 13th, began on the morning of Seoul in 1982 with a powerful shout of `Ory~' by Ko Young-rye (Kim Da-mi), the 100th bus guide, and recreated the air and vitality of the streets at that time. Kim Dami's solid presence, Shin Ye-eun's delicate emotional performance, and Heo Nam-jun's fresh eyes brought back the pure youth narrative of the 1980s beyond simple period dramas.

The play perfectly reproduced even the daily necessities such as coupons, tokens, written English books, abacus, and paper dolls in detail" elicited a response. In the days when they didn't have much, but they were dependent on each other, the power of youth delivered a special resonance to today's viewers.

The friendship between Young-rye and Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun) firmly supported the center of the play. When Young-rye fell into despair, Jong-hee turned the difficult reality into laughter, saying, `I'll save a wish ticket with a bonus.' The scene of singing to the bus radio together made the two girls' youth shine even more. The theater then created tension with the ending of the mouth-to-mouth, and in the second episode, the reunion of Young-rye, Jong-hee, and Jae-pil (Heo Nam-jun) opened a new triangle, making us wonder about the direction of romance.

Baek Yerin's remake of Carpenter's 『Close to You" was added to the famous songs that resonated again beyond the times, such as 『Where and What shall we meet again" and Yoo Jae-ha's unreleased song 『Your eyes like stars』, which doubled the sensibility of first love and friendship. Music from generation to generation further enhanced the appeal of the work by maximizing the immersion of the drama.

'One Hundred Memories' airs every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. on JTBC.
