On the afternoon of the 10th, a press and distribution premiere of the mystery film 『Face" (directed by Yeon Sang-ho and produced by Wow Point) was held at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. At the premiere of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, the main characters of 'Face' staying in Toronto, Canada, took the place of a video conference. The video conference was attended by Park Jung-min, who played dual roles including Lim Young-kyu's youth and his son Lim Dong-hwan, and Kwon Hae-hyo, who played the present role of Lim Young-kyu, Shin Hyun-bin, a woman who has never seen the face of her husband Lim Young-kyu and her son Dong-hwan, Lim Sung-jae, the president of the Cheonggyecheon sheath factory where Jung Young-hee worked, Han Ji-hyun, who directed a documentary about the life of producer Kim Soo-jin, and director Yeon Sang-ho.
Park Jung-min, who played the blind, said "Acting for the visually impaired was a behavioral pattern after hearing and referring to the stories of people with poor vision, and actually spent quite a long time as a member of a family suffering from gray loss. I came to think about my father's life, as well as the preparation process and filming. This work seems to have been an unintentional gift," he added to his extraordinary sentiment.
Formally invited to the 50th Toronto International Film Festival Special Presentation Section, 'Face' tells the story of a blind but reborn man, a master of all fields, and his son digging into the mystery of the death of his wife and mother, who have been buried for 40 years. Park Jung-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-bin, Lim Sung-jae, and Han Ji-hyun appeared, and Yeon Sang-ho, director of 'Train to Busan'Ban Peninsula', took the megaphone. It will be released on the 11th.
