Jungwoo's first directorial challenge with Shin-chan, a movie that Busan bragged about, won the award



The 30th Busan International Film Festival was visited with a movie directed and starred by actor Jung Woo 'Crayon Shin-chan' (directed by Jung Woo and Oh Sung-ho, produced by fan entertainment). In particular, Busan, which was newly established since last year's film festival, was selected as the winner of the award for a beloved film, adding special meaning.

Choi Jin-bong, Mayor of Jung-gu, Busan, delivered a plaque of appreciation to Jung-woo at the eve event held on the outdoor stage of Beef Square in Nampo-dong, Jung-gu, Busan on the 16th. As a result, Jung-woo continued his deep relationship with Busan. The festival revealed the reason for its witty selection, saying, `We shout Jungwoo's love thirty-five times, just like Jungwoo's love of Busan, from the movie 'Wind' to 'Crayon Shin-chan' that contains Busan's emotions.' Jung-woo shined by winning the award with director Yoon Je-kyun.

Jungwoo came to Seoul from Busan to study to become an actor when he was 19 years old. I am thrilled to receive such a big award from the Busan audience. I sincerely thank you for being invited to this year's Busan Film Festival with a work called 'Crayon Shin-chan' that tells the story of a boy named Shin-chan in the movie 'Wind'. If you show a lot of interest and support, I will repay the audience while living as an actor and a person. Director Yoon Je-kyun, who received an award today, has a relationship with the movie 'Himalaya'. It is an honor once again to receive this award like a great director."




In particular, the Busan Film Festival's Korean Film Today - "Crayon Shin-chan", which will be released as a world premiere through the Special Premiere section, is Jung Woo's first work to appear on the megaphone and include challenges as a creator as well as as an actor. He has steadily built up filmography between dramas and movies, and through this work, he captured his own eyes and senses on the screen. In particular, Jung-woo was appointed as a judge for the Busan Film Festival's Actor of the Year Award along with Han Ye-ri two years ago.

Jung Woo, Jung Soo-jung, Shin Seung-ho, Hyun Bong-sik, Kwon So-hyun, and Jo Beom-gyu will participate in official events such as open cinema and dialogue with the audience (GV) during the festival to meet with the audience more closely.

Meanwhile, the 30th Busan Film Festival, where you can meet Jungwoo's film 'Crayon Shin-chan', will be held in Busan from the 17th to the 26th.
