‘Project Y’ Showcases Powerful On-Screen Chemistry of Han Sohee and Jun Jongseo at BIFF

Han Sohee and Jeon Jong-seo present a women's to-be-womens through the movie Project Y.

The open talk of the movie 'Project Y' was held on the 18th at the BIFF Outdoor Stage at the Udong Film Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan. Actors Han So-hee, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Sung-chul, Jung Young-joo, Lee Jae-kyun, Yoo Ah and Lee Hwan attended the scene.

'Project Y' was officially invited to the Today-Special Premiere section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival Korean Film Festival. It is a story about Mi-sun and Do-kyung, who had only each other, stealing hidden black money and gold bars to escape from the reality of the bottom, and director Lee Hwan, who directed 'Park Hwa-young' and 'Adults Don't Know', took the megaphone.

'Project Y' was officially invited to the 50th Toronto International Film Festival Special Presentation section and met with audiences from all over the world. Han So-hee, who plays Mi-sun, said, "There were a lot of scenes where we filmed with a smile on the set"I remember filming happily together, especially in the scene where Lee Jae-kyun appeared. I'm proud that the audience watched such scenes and laughed together." Jeon Jong-seo, who played Do-kyung, also watched the movie properly for the first time when it was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Fortunately, the audience responded well, and they laughed at each point, so they finished the screening well in a good atmosphere."

From the casting stage to the joining of Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo, who were born in 1994, 'Project Y' drew attention. Director Lee Hwan said, "While writing the scenario, I was thinking about actors who could express Mi-sun and Do-kyung well, and I came to recall Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo." As mentioned earlier at the Toronto International Film Festival, the two actors are famous as icons to the public. I wanted to capture the heterogeneous point of collision well when such actors expressed the underlying reality emotion monstrously well," he said.

Jeon Jong-seo said, `I received a scenario last year, and I thought it was not easy to meet a female two-top work of the same age. I was surprised that there was such a work, and the script was fun. As soon as I saw it, I decided to do it right away. The character written in the script was fun, but if I do this with Han So-hee, I think I can show good chemistry beyond what's written in the script."

Han So-hee said "I think the relationship between Do-kyung and Miseon is a relationship that can break the saying "Blood is thicker than water". Do-kyung and Mi-sun have the same goals for their dreams, so I think a complementary relationship will be formed in that area", he explained.

Actors and actresses will also perform splendidly. Kim Seong-cheol plays the role of Tosa and appears as an intense villain who confronts Mi-sun and Do-kyung. Jung Young-joo, who showed a bold acting transformation while shaving her head, transforms into a bull character. Lee Jae-kyun invigorates the play by playing a stone tool that interferes with Mi-seon and Do-kyung's crime plans.

Oh My Girl YooA made her screen debut through the movie Project Y and played Ha Kyung in the play. He is an Etiquette character who is very different from his previous appearance. I took a lot of care to express my sensitive and sharp eyes."

When asked to choose a famous line, "When I was filming a movie, I said a lot of things that I couldn't say easily while I was an idol. No matter how much I try to say different lines, I only remember those lines. I can't do it now"It's my first time acting in this genre, so I asked the director "Is this right?' I asked back a lot while doing it. The director said 'That's right', so I trusted the director and followed the direction well."

Finally, director Lee said, `This movie is not a tracked noir, but a funky, speedy, neo-realist female narrative. There are a lot of great actors, so I hope the audience will finish their own movies while watching the movie"I asked for expectations.
