AKMU Soohyun Lee and veteran voice actors filled the animated film 'Letters of Yeon' with emotional voices.

The press and distribution premiere of 'Letters of Yeon' was held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 15th. Director Kim Soohyun Lee, voice actors Kim Min-ju, Min Seung-woo, Nam Do-hyung and Kim Yong-hwan attended the scene.

Released on Oct. 1, 『A Yeon's Letter』 is an animated film about a transfer student who accidentally discovers a mysterious letter in a desk drawer and unfolds as he searches for the next letters, which lead to hints in the letter, which is the first feature film directed by Kim Yong-hwan.




'Letters of Yeon' is based on a popular original with a high rating of 9.98 at the time of serialization. The original book was published as a book and became a bestseller, and the news of the animated film also drew great attention as soon as it was released. Director Kim, who directed the movie, said, "I've been growing up after watching Japanese animation, including Makoto Shinkai's work." "However, I tried to contain Korean stories and spaces realistically in "Yeonui Letter"." It seems that there is a difference that comes from it because there is a unique sensibility of the letter of the year.

The Soohyun Lee challenged himself to voice acting for the first time in a 'Letters of Love'. Playing the role of Lee So-ri, who discovers a mysterious letter in the play, he said, "Thank you for watching the movie and saying that many people didn't know it was my voice. I thought it was my job to speak out in front of the microphone and I was used to it, but this time I felt I did something completely different. I thought and studied with the directors how to set the voice and how much to mix my voice"It's a job in front of the same microphone, but I've had such a different experience, I've had different fun."

As for how he got to challenge himself in voice acting, he said, `I usually love animations and watch them a lot. My second favorite thing after music is animation. I was excited and afraid when I was offered 'Why don't we do it together' through the company. I knew that I was with the best voice actors in Korea, so I didn't want to be in the work. After a lot of thought, I got a chance and put as much effort into each and every one of them as I did when I made my album," he said.




Director Kim examined the process of casting a Soohyun Lee in the main character role of "Sori" from the casting stage. It was judged that Su-hyun's clear voice would go well with the main character's sound character. I thought the audience would be able to immerse themselves in Su-hyun's voice. In addition, Su-hyun had such a high understanding of the animation genre, and she had great faith as a director because she used her voice freely. Even before I recorded the song, I took dubbing classes for almost a month and acted sincerely"Thank you."

Kim Min-ju received the public's hot attention for her performance of 'How will they live?' and Min Seung-woo for 'K-pop Demon Hunters'. Nam Do-hyung, who drew attention by participating in the narration of 'Black and White Chef: Cooking Class War', also predicted a unique performance through 'Letters of Yeon'.

Kim Min-ju, who played Park Dong-soon, looking for a mysterious letter together, enjoyed reading the webtoon before watching the audition, and was happy to hear that she was working with Su-hyun after passing the audition. The dubbing work had to be recorded in different spaces, so I had no choice but to leave it to my imagination. So before recording, I looked for all the dramas that Su-hyun had appeared in before.

My answer may sound a little different, but I've thought of it at some point. The character I play is slightly similar as if the texture is different. Everyone has a deficiency. He doesn't try to show it on the outside, and he looks the best and strongest in the work, but when he opens it, he doesn't. "I'm also that kind of person, so I'm immersed in the character and act, so I can see more in common than differences. Jinwoo and Hoyeon also expressed their affection, saying, "It hurts for me, but it's a precious finger."

Lastly, Nam Do-hyung, who played as Ahn Seung-gyu, Dong-soon's childhood friend, was not imagined when it was made into a living video because it was based on a webtoon. But the moment I watched the animation, I was moved because the unexpected visual beauty unfolded.
