Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi, who is embroiled in a controversy over his privacy, appeared on the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

The opening ceremony of the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) was held on the outdoor stage of the Busan Haeundae-gu Film Center on the 17th. On this day, Kentaro Sakaguchi attended the Open Cinema section as the leading role of the movie 'Final Piece'.

Kentaro Sakaguchi stood on the red carpet with director Naoto Kumazawa and actor Ken Watanabe, who shared 'Final Piece'. Appearing excited and nervous, he sent a ball heart to his fans with a bright smile and greeted them.

'Finalpiece' is a film adaptation of the best-selling novel 'Sunflower of Rebel', which won the second prize at the 2018 Japanese Bookstore Awards, and tells the story of tracing the mystery of a murder case based on the traditional Japanese talent 'Shogi'. In the play, Kentaro Sakaguchi plays Keisuke, a genius shogi driver suspected of being a murderer.

Earlier, Kentaro Sakaguchi had a controversy over his privacy ahead of the opening of the 30th Busan International Film Festival. According to Japanese entertainment media Weekly Moonchun, Kentaro Sakaguchi lives with a non-celebrity woman three years her senior in an apartment in Tokyo. The woman is a staff member in charge of hair and makeup, and is said to have lived with Kentaro Sakaguchi for more than four years.

In addition, Jiu Moon-chun raised the possibility of having a double leg with a popular actress, as well as that Kentaro Sakaguchi and the woman live together. The actress reportedly answered that she had dated Kentaro Sakaguchi during the daytime, but she did not know that she was living with another person.




Kentaro Sakaguchi was scheduled to attend a press conference on the afternoon of the 18th to talk about his work, but suddenly canceled the press conference schedule. On the 15th, the Busan International Film Festival informed Sports Chosun that the press conference for Kentaro Sakaguchi's 'Final Piece' was inevitably canceled due to the guest's circumstances"We ask for your understanding of the sudden change in the schedule. The 30th Busan International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from the 17th to the 26th around the Film Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan. The total number of official screenings was 241, up 17 from last year. Including the screenings of Community Beef, a related program, the total number of screenings is 328.
