Mila Jovovich shone at the 30th Busan International Film Festival with the film Protector.
The press conference for the movie Protector was held at the Beef Hill press conference hall of the Udong Film Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan on the 18th. Actor Mila Jovovich and director Adrian Grangerberg attended the scene.
'Protector' is an official invitation to the Midnight Fashion Section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival. The story is about Nikki Halstead, a former U.S. special forces agent, who has to find her daughter Khloe, who was kidnapped by a criminal group, within 72 hours, and director Adrianne Grangerberg of `Rambo: The Last War' took the megaphone.
Mila Jovovich visited Korea eight years after the film 'Resident Evil: Doom Day'. "I remember the last time I came to Korea, I came to promote "Resident Evil"." It was the best experience I had while doing a movie. I took a good rest with my husband and walked around Seoul for a few days, and went into a pie restaurant that was hard to find because it was in the corner, and he recognized who I was and constantly served me pie. I want to eat that pie again"

Mila Jovovich attended the opening ceremony held the day before and was warmly welcomed by the audience. He "I was so honored to come to Busan yesterday and attend the opening ceremony. I met a lot of great actors. Also, the version of 'Protector' shown here is the first in the world. The edited version is still being edited. 'Protector' is that much affectionate work, and I and the director put a lot of effort into it. "I think I've achieved my dream at the Busan International Film Festival."
Director Adrianne Grinberg also said, `It's my first time in Busan and my first time in Korea. I came to Korea right from Mexico, and the goal I set with my wife was to make sure to take the train from Busan, even if I couldn't catch the train to Busan. I like the movie 'Train to Busan' " I've been having a good time since yesterday" expressed his delight.
Mila Jovovich also performed high-level actions in 'Protector' following 'The Fifth Element' and 'Resident Evil'. In the play, he plays the main character Nicky Halstead and goes on a chase to find his daughter. He hoped that "Protector" would be well communicated to the audience because it is a beautiful work with a long and poetic sensibility. But I thought it wouldn't be easy. I kept talking with the director and the writer to reduce the amount. Looking at the script, I talked about what is the most important core of this storyThe movie tells the story of a mother struggling to save her daughter. I have three daughters and one of them is the same age as my daughter in the movie. I hope this movie will be sympathized not only by parents who have daughters, but also by more people" revealed the wind.
He also mentioned K-content, which is receiving hot attention around the world. Mila Jovovich sees her every day because her 5-year-old daughter is a fan of 'K-pop Demon Hunters'. I couldn't help but watch season 1 because I watched from seasons 2 and 3 of 'Squid Game'. It was nice to meet Lee Byung-hun in person (at the opening ceremony) yesterday. Also, didn't the Korean work 'Parasite' win an Oscar. Just looking at these things, I think Korean movies are world-class works"I think it's time to get to know Korean movies."
Finally, Mila Jovovich responded to 'Protector"The effort we put in seems to have been well communicated. Despite being an uncomfortable material to handle, I felt that it was elegantly well expressed. The acting I performed in the movie is not acting. I've actually lived such a life, and I lost 10kg while filming. We filmed for 22 days, and we filmed for 6 days, and we filmed for 4 days at night. It wasn't an easy task, especially at night because I had bad thoughts. Later, while discussing with the director, I developed the character more and more and more, and I developed the action"It's a special movie for me, and I think it'll be a movie that I'll never forget."expressed a particular affection for " Director Adrienne Grangberg then said of the possibility of producing a sequel, "I need to talk more with the producer and the producer.'"It's hard to say at the moment."," he declined to say.
Meanwhile, the 30th Busan International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from the 17th to the 26th around the Film Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan.
