Director Kang Yoon-sung expressed his feelings about returning to the screen after six years with the first AI movie in Korea 'Middlegye'.

Coach Kang Yoon-sung met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 14th and said, `I think we did what someone had to do"I hope you think positively of the new attempt"

The movie, which will be released on the 15th, is a chasing action blockbuster between those trapped in the middle of the world and the underworld trying to extinguish their souls, and director Kang Yoon-sung, who directed 'The Outlaws', 'Casino' and 'Fine: Mountaineers', has taken the megaphone.

Kang has directed the first screen movie in six years since the 2019 film 'Long Live the King: Mokpo Hero'. He "It's been a long time since I met the audience in a movie in a theater, and I'm so nervous. Apart from AI technology, the story of the work itself is not finished yet, but there are so many worries and concerns"I hope you'll take a positive look at our courageous new attempts" revealed the wind.

'Junggye' is meaningful in that it is the first feature film using AI in Korea. Director Kang commented on how he felt about watching the movie at the press and distribution premiere held the previous day, saying, `It was disappointing to see it on the big screen for sure. Still, we did our best in what we could do so far. From the audience's point of view, rather than finding technical flaws, the goal was to make the story well-followed."

Regarding the opportunity to face this new directing challenge "It was someone's job. If someone doesn't try, there's no next step. In that sense, I think our movie is more meaningful. In fact, it came as a big burden to show only 'Gi Seung' in the end of the battle, and to promise the next episode. I was wondering if I could make a theater movie like this, but I wanted it to be seen in the stagnant movie market that AI can be used."
