At a press production briefing for KBS2's epic drama 『Literature』 held at the St. in D-Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul on the 18th, "I have two sons, and I will prepare hard not to be embarrassed by children."
Munmu (scripted by Kim Ri-heon and Hong Jin-yi, directed by Kim Young-jo and Cho Sung-jun), which is scheduled to premiere in 2026, depicts a great story of unity in which Silla, a small country, finally united Samhan after crossing over Goguryeo, Baekje, and the Tang Dynasty. Director Kim Young-jo, who directed 'Hwarang', 'Jang Young-sil', 'Jingbi-rok', etc., and writer Kim Ri-heon, who was elected to the miniseries category of the KBS script contest in 2021, joined forces.
Kim Kang-woo plays Kim Chun-chu, the first king of Silla and the father of Kim Beom-min. As for why he joined the work, he said, `First of all, the script has to be interesting. Even though we didn't start filming yet, it felt like we were looking at martial arts. The epic drama is heavy and has a strong sense of subject matter, but 'Moonmu' seemed to be watching a martial arts story in which the characters were alive one by one. I thought we had that kind of era, and it was nice to be able to be with good actors and directors," he said. Then "I have two sons, and I will prepare hard so that I won't be embarrassed by them."He expressed his determination.
Meanwhile, Kim Kang-woo married actress Han Hye-jin's real sister Han Moo-young in 2010 and has two sons.
