SF9 Share Insights on 'Love Race' Comeback in Interview

SF9 will release the full sound source of the new report 『Love Race" and the music video of the title song of the same name through various music sites at 6 p.m. on the 11th.
'Love Race' is the second installment in the 'Your Fantasy' series that captures everything fans want. In addition to the album's title song of the same name 'Love Race', a total of six songs were included, including 'SUITED', 'SIDE BY SIDE', 'WARURU', 'NONO', and 'LOVE Puzzle'.

▶ Young-bin: It feels good to be able to show a new side to FANTASY. And I'm looking forward to it because it's been about three years since I've been with Jaeyoon.
IS: I feel reassured that Jaeyoon joined us, and there was synergy in the album preparation process. Thanks to you, I was able to practice happily while smiling.
JY: I'm very excited because it's been 2 years since our comeback and I'm especially looking forward to this album. I missed my fans and the stage so much while I was serving in the military. This comeback is a precious time that I've been waiting for. The preparation process with the members and staff was also very enjoyable and good.
Yu Taeyang: I'm really happy to start 2025 with the members.
HY: I think SF9's engine is starting to run.
I'm happy to be with Jaeyoon, so I think we'll be able to have a fun and fun promotion.
- In preparation for the new album 'Love Race', what part did you put your heart and soul into?
▶Young Bin : I think it's the choreography of the title song 'Love Race' It feels like a choreography that runs non-stop, so I'm continuing to increase my stamina. And visually, I paid a lot of attention to how it goes with the concept and how I want to express it with my outfit.
IS: The genre of hip-hop was unfamiliar, but I thought about it from the beginning and put my heart and soul into the process of making one by one. I tried to plan it in detail from beginning to end and fill in the colors of SF9.
JY: I paid a lot of attention to the performance. Since it's a fierce and difficult choreography, I worked hard until the end to complete it with the members. In the recording process, I prepared a lot of options, so I tried a lot of new things. It was a precious time where I felt a lot of new things and I learned a lot again.
Yoo Tae-yang: It's a song that has a much more beat and groove than previous albums, so I practiced it with a lot of care to bring out the feeling of dance. And I wanted to show SF9 as one.
HY: I hope you focus on the performance and lyrics that feel like you're running.
I paid a lot of attention to the performance. I think you can feel SF9's tough charm.
- What is the listening point or performance point of the title song "Love Race"?
▶ Young-bin: I think the listening point is the addictive melody and unique rap. I hope you don't miss the performance at all because it's like a point to watch.
IS: The vibrancy of the exciting beat was considerable, and each part incorporates the individuality of the members. And it seems to be the most difficult and exhausting dance of all time, but you can feel SF9's energy and energy.
JY: There are a lot of different textures, so I think it would be good to listen to it in a fun way. The performance is a little stronger and more conceptual than the original color, so I think it would be good if you look at our own hardness that fits it.

- I was wondering if you had any memorable episodes while shooting or recording a music video.
▶ Young-bin: It was so amazing that bike stunts showed their skills, and I was encouraged because I thought it would be a great picture together.
IS: Motorcycles and professional stunt teams joined us, and the music video seems to be more stylish. During the recording process, I tried to melt my own details and expressions throughout the album.
JY: I filmed the group dance inside the abandoned factory, and I remember working hard to get black dust on my face and nose.
Yoo Tae-yang: It was very fascinating to shoot the choreography with bike stunts, and I think the video came out well in style.
HY: There was a motorcycle stunt in the music video and it was so cool.
HWI YOUNG did the rap making of my part, and I recorded it until HWI YOUNG liked it. It was hard, but it was fun.

▶Young Bin: 'Side by Side'. It's my favorite style, and summer is coming soon, so I hope you'll be with this song until then. I think I'll only listen to this song in the summer.
IS: I think 'Love Puzzle' is a song that melts my emotions well and I can feel the atmosphere of a pop song. I think that 'Waluru' is a song that expresses the lyrics and the difficulty of capturing various details in each syllable.
JY: 'Wow~' I think you will feel a completely different feeling from when you performed it at the concert. 'Love Puzzle'. It's a good song to listen to with easy listening, so I recommend it.
Solar : 'Side by side'. Since it was selected by the majority of the members, I recommend it because it's a song that everyone loves.
HY: The energy felt in 'Waluru' is good.

- What does 'Love Race' mean for SF9?
▶ Young-bin: This album shows consistency and solidarity. And the title song feels like we're wearing clothes that fit the members well. I think it'll shine even more on the stage, so I'm looking forward to the performance
IS: I think it's an album that expanded the potential of SF9. Like levelling up in the game, I think it's an album that let go of SF9's new legs.
