Singer G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong)'s sound source will be sent to space.

G-Dragon's agency Galaxy Corporation announced on the 9th that it will challenge G-Dragon to send his music and Azure OpenAI's music video using Sora produced with Microsoft into space.

The work will be joined by G-Dragon's agency, AI entertech company Galaxy Corporation, and KAIST, where G-Dragon is a visiting professor of mechanical engineering.

G-Dragon's attempt is expected to mark a future milestone for the space science, AI, and entertainment fields.

The 'G-Dragon Space Sound Transmission Project' will be held at the KAIST Space Research Institute at 8 p.m. on the 9th. This is evaluated as an artistic experiment that permanently preserves human culture in space and attempts to communicate with other civilizations beyond simple musical attempts.

In particular, the transmission is linked to NASA's 'Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence' (SETI) project. SETI is a historical project that sent the music of the British rock band The Beatles into space. The G-Dragon Space Sound Transmission Project will be Korea's first SETI project.

Since last year, Galaxy Corporation has established a cooperative relationship with KAIST. It plans to continue to lead the future entertainment industry through the convergence of entertainment and technology that transcends time and space. Recently, he held the only private meeting with Microsoft (MS) CEO Nadella as an Entertech company and is promoting the globalization of AI Entertech.
