The project band Genie will make its official comeback on April 25, releasing a mini-album. It is the first time in about 28 years that the new report will be released under the name of Genie since 1997 'Elephant'.
Existing members Shin Sung-woo, a singer, and Kim Young-seok, a bassist from Next and a member of Nova Sonic, will join 015B Jang Ho-il. Kim Young-seok helped the project based on his long relationship with Shin.
The album features two songs: 'Turtle', which inherited the unique bright and cheerful rock style of Genie, and 'LOG' of more intense and authentic hard rock sound. In particular, 'Turtle' was inspired by the fact that Genie's existing hits were often used as cheer songs and cheerleading music, and was produced in a sports chant style.
Feeling the influence of new member Kim Young-seok, 'log' presents a hard rock sound that has evolved from the existing genie's punk-based rock style.

Despite being a rock genre, the title song of the first album 'What's This?' was a hit, topping various music charts at the time. In the second album, which was later reorganized into a two-person system of Shin Sung-woo and Jang Ho-il, 'Right Life', 'Reunion', and 'Elephant' were loved by fans.
According to Ginni, the members have been continuously discussing new music works and activities, but it has been difficult to implement due to their respective activities. Meanwhile, Shin Sung-woo's best friend, Kim Young-seok, joined the team and the project began to operate in earnest.
Genie believes that if rock in the past contained a message of resistance and defiance, today's rock should be music that conveys comfort and support"Starting with this comeback, we plan to release two to three new songs every quarter and continue our performance activities."
