On the 29th, Jeon Hyun-moo replaced his personal account profile picture with an image of chrysanthemums in memory of the victims of the Jeju Air disaster.
Earlier in the day, an aircraft from Bangkok left the runway while landing at Muan International Airport in Fiji, Mangun-myeon, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do. The plane was Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, which was scheduled to depart Bangkok and arrive at Muan International Airport at 8:30 a.m. that day. There are a total of 181 passengers, 175 passengers and six crew members. According to the fire authorities, 179 people were killed and two injured. The government designated seven days as the national mourning period until January 4 next year.
Meanwhile, Jeon Hyun-moo was the MC of the '2024 MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards', which was scheduled to be held on this day, but the broadcast was canceled in the aftermath of the accident.
