Hong Seong-won Issues Public Apology Over Controversial Sexist Remark in Musical



Actor Hong Sung-won bowed his head directly when he was embroiled in a controversy over sexist expressions during the performance.

Hong Seong-won posted an apology on his account on the 22nd, saying, `I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by inappropriate expressions made by me.' "I will take seriously the responsibility for disappointing you and your colleagues, and I will be more careful in my words and actions in the future."," he added.

Earlier on the 20th, in a pre-show performance of the musical 'Number the Location', Hong Seong-won reportedly made a statement to the effect of "There is a proverb that if a hen cries, the house will be ruined, so please play the role of a hen." As the on-site reviews spread through the online community, criticism continued that it was a sexist expression, and in the end, Hong Seong-won expressed his position himself.
