Singer Gangnam and Lee Sang-hwa revealed the behind-the-scenes story of their marriage.

Gangnam and Lee Sang-hwa appeared as guests on tvN 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 3rd.

Gangnam and Lee Sang-hwa tied the knot in 2019 after making a relationship on SBS 'Law of the Jungle'. Gangnam was in full swing in entertainment programs at the time, and Lee Sang-hwa was a legend who won the women's 500m speed skating gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, drawing keen attention.




Gangnam says, "(Lee Sang-hwa) is a member of the national team, but I feel like I'm enjoying my life, so I think she thought it was not a good fit. He strongly opposed (the marriage). Take Lee Sang-hwa to the place where I'm not and 'Why are you meeting with a boy like my son when you're a national team member. There are many better people, he recalled.

The two, who overcame opposition and married, have already been married for seven years and have a happy family. In particular, Lee Sang-hwa is giving strength as a strong companion, paying for the entire cost of surgery when his father in Gangnam was diagnosed with liver cancer.




Gangnam is "My father suddenly received a liver cancer diagnosis. Lee Sang-hwa contacted me more than I did and took care of me a lot of food. I also paid for the treatment. He thanked me, "I was like a mother even though I was a wife because I kept taking care of him from behind."

Lee Sang-hwa "My father-in-law had a bad liver and heart. Gangnam didn't show a hard time in front of him, but he could see it all in his expression. I took the time to visit my father-in-law in Japan. Since you like Korean food, I vacuum-packed it and sent it to you. Now he has recovered a lot and returned in good health."

Gangnam also warmed Lee Sang-hwa's heart.




Lee Sang-hwa said "I felt empty because the skate I've been doing for 20 years disappeared from my life. Gangnam saw it very pitifully and paid a lot of attention to it, making all the travel plans alone. 'There are many days to live in the future, but they said, 'Enjoy something fun and live it.'"

Gangnam said he learned sports massage for his wife, showing his love for her.
