News 1 reported on the 11th that the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office is investigating Jung Dong-won on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act recently.
According to the media, Jung Dong-won reportedly drove a vehicle without a license in a provincial city in 2023. At that time, Jung Dong-won was 16 years old and was unable to obtain a driver's license.
The police, who had been investigating the related case until early this year, sent the case.
According to Article 82 of the Road Traffic Act, you can obtain a license to drive a car, including a Type 1 normal license, from the age of 18. Driving without a license can result in up to 10 months in prison or a fine of 3 million won.
Jung Dong-won made his name by appearing on the TV Chosun audition program 'Mr. Trot' in 2020 and reaching the final fifth place. Earlier in 2023, he was suspended from prosecution after being caught driving a motorcycle on the eastern Seoul railway road, where two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) are prohibited.
