JYP Park Jin-young expressed his feelings about being appointed as co-chairman of the Popular Culture Exchange Committee.

Park Jin-young said on his account on the 9th, `I was worried about taking on the government job because it was too burdensome and worrisome for entertainment industry workers in many ways, but now K-pop is facing a very special opportunity, and I decided to make good use of this opportunity.'

When I went to the U.S. in 2003 and distributed promotional materials of our singers to American record labels, when Wonder Girls entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time as a Korean singer in 2009, and at this moment, my dream is the same. What K-pop is loved all over the world "Come on "I will work hard to organize what I wanted institutional support while working in the field so that effective support can go, and to help junior artists get more opportunities. And we will do our best to help K-pop take a leap forward and become a place for people around the world to understand and exchange with each other beyond promoting our culture. It's something that I started after a lot of thought, so I ask for your advice and support," he said.

The Popular Culture Exchange Committee is a presidential organization to realize the five major cultural powers that President Lee Jae-myung pledged. As a public-private partnership platform for exchange and cooperation for the continuous spread of popular culture, such as music, drama, and movie games, it will establish a vision and strategy for exchange of popular culture, coordinate popular culture exchange and cooperation projects, promote the discovery of public-private cooperation projects, establish a strategy for allocating investments and resources related to popular culture, and promote and advance overseas.

Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik said, `Park Jin-young is one of the representative singers of Korea and has been striving for the globalization of K-pop. People all over the world will enjoy our popular culture more, and we will also contribute to making a culture-blooming Korea."

As Park Jin-young, the head of JYP Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as JYP), is the co-chairman of the Popular Culture Exchange Committee, attention is being paid to whether JYP artists will have wings. JYP is currently continuing its career high by exploring all three of the world's top music charts, Billboard in the U.S., Official in the U.K., and Oricon in Japan, and Stray Kids also set a record of being the first main album chart in Billboard's 70-year history to top the Billboard 200 for seven consecutive years. DAY6 celebrated its 10th anniversary by solidifying their own music identity, and rookies such as NMIX Extraordinary Kick Flip are also laying their own foundations.

As JYP artists are building a brilliant career, Park Jin-young takes on an important task, attention is being paid to whether JYP can stand tall as a K-pop president.
