Wonder Girls' Yu-bin delivered unfortunate news. Big sister's cancer battle costs 200 million won (SC Issue)

The group Wonder Girls Yubin reported the sad news.

Yu-bin said "My uncle's wife, my oldest sister, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and has been undergoing treatment until now. Unfortunately, however, it has spread to the brain in 2024 and continues to fight painful battles day by day" he said.

Then "Fortunately, we found an effective treatment difficult, but it is too difficult to receive proper treatment due to realistic conditions. I want to protect you even a little bit, so I ask for your help" he appealed.

Yubin said "This is an important issue not only related to my family's problem, but also to whether breast cancer patients will receive better treatment in the future. I would appreciate it if you could add even a small touch and help many patients to continue their hope," he said, asking for the consent of the national petition.

The petition he referred to is 'A petition regarding the application of health insurance benefits and prompt processing requests for breast cancer epilepsy treatment Tucicar (Tucatinib).' Tukisa received marketing approval in December last year after HER2-positive epilepsy proved to be excellent for breast cancer patients. However, domestic sales have been postponed indefinitely due to pharmaceutical companies' circumstances, so patients can only secure the drug by submitting their documents to the Korea Rare Essential Medicines Center every nine weeks and waiting eight weeks. The two-month reverse value amounts to a whopping 30 million won, and Tukey's annual treatment costs 200 million won because it must be used in combination with other anticancer drugs.

The petitioner said, "It is an urgent situation in which patients and their families have to dispose of all their property and hold on to life." Please do not turn a blind eye to the reality that effective treatments are not available even though they are in front of you. This petition is not a story of a family, but a desperate appeal to protect the life of a loving family member.
