The second trial court reduced the sentence to two and a half years in prison in consideration of B's deposit of 30 million won, and the ruling was confirmed.
On the other hand, the 14th Civil Affairs Department (Director Min So-young) of the Seoul Eastern District Court ruled against the plaintiff in a 500 million won damages lawsuit filed by Jinjo Crew against victim A.
Female member A, who belonged to Jinjokru, claimed to have been sexually assaulted by a male member of the crew on November 30, 2019, and sexually harassed by another male member on February 5, 2022.
In response, Jinjo Crew immediately separated and withdrawn the members who were designated as perpetrators of sexual assault and sexual harassment. Regarding A's post, the member who wrote a post that could be considered a secondary offense was also withdrawnHe apologized, but Mr. A said with some members that "Let's send Jinjokru to the abyss". Jinjo Crew filed a lawsuit for damages against A for 568,826,205 won and accused him of defamation and obstruction of business.
However, the prosecution ruled in July last year that it was acquitted of charges of defamation and obstruction of business. The court also dismissed all Jinjokru's claims and ordered Jinjokru to bear the costs of litigation, saying it did not admit that the article caused damage to Jinjokru because A's disclosure was not false.
In this regard, Jinzo Crew has not yet expressed its position.
Jinjokru is a b-boy team formed in 2001, winning the 2011 American Freestyle Session, the 2012 UK B-boy Championship World Final, and the 2021 Battle of the Year Battle category. In addition, in 2022, he won JTBC 'Showdown' to raise awareness.
