SEVENTEEN Teams Up with The Smurfs for a Global Collaboration Project

The meeting between the group Seventeen and the global popular character The Smurfs and the two super IPs took place.

Hive Music Group label Pledis Entertainment announced on the 28th that it will introduce collaborative content between Seventeen and Smurf in partnership with the Peyo Company, which holds the rights to Smurf.

First, the music video of the Smurf collaboration version of 'God of Music' will be unveiled in November. The video was planned based on the fact that the date of Smurf's birth and the release date of the song are the same as October 23, and that the two contents show the value of coexistence. The previously released teaser showed the silhouette of 13 new Smurf characters along with the upbeat melody of the song, amplifying curiosity.

The Smurf character, which was created under the theme of Seventeen, will also be unveiled later. It melted the personality of each of the 13 members with the unique characteristics of the Smurf loved by people around the world, such as blue skin, short height, and magic ability. Products based on collaborative characters will also be released.

Smurf was born in 1958 by Pierre Culiford, a Belgian artist and storyteller well known by his pen name Peyo. It was produced with a variety of contents ranging from cartoon series to animation and movies, and was loved worldwide from generation to generation.

Pledis Entertainment "This collaboration started with the consensus that both SEVENTEEN and Smurfs seek teamwork, friendship, tolerance, fun, and cooperation"We ask for your attention to the meeting between SEVENTEEN, who has spread the value of positivity and solidarity through music, and Smurfs, who symbolize hope and happiness."
