Director Park Hee-gon, who directed the movies 'Perfect Game', 'Dang', and 'Target', has died. He was 56.

According to the movie industry on the 30th, director Park passed away that day. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed, but it is reported that he has been receiving hospital treatment for deteriorating health since last year.

The mortuary of the deceased was set up in Room 5 of the funeral hall of Myongji Hospital in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The coffin will be borne at 6:40 a.m. on May 2, and the burial site is Seoul Seunghwawon.




Director Park, who was born in 1969, first made his name as a director of commercials and music videos. Later, he entered the film industry in 2009 with the movie `The Insadong Scandal.' Representative works of the deceased include 'Perfect Game' and 'Perfect Game'. 'Perfect Game' won favorable reviews from the audience, portraying the fierce confrontation between Korean professional baseball legend Choi Dong-won and Sun Dong-ryul. Historical drama 'Dangdang' based on feng shui geography starred Cho Seung-woo and Ji Sung, and also attracted 2.08 million viewers. In 2023, it introduced a thriller 'Target' that deals with the dangers of secondhand trading.
