Oh Jung-se will present another strong villain through JTBC's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Good Boy' (played by Lee Dae-il, directed by Shim Na-yeon), which will premiere on the 31st. He, who has built his role in depth in his own way, is the face of customs officials at the Korea Customs Service in this work, but he breaks down the city of Inseong into a 'Min Ju-young', which secretly controls the city of Inseong, heralding a strong presence that shakes the five young people of 'Good Boy'Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-i, Heo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok.
Oh Jung-se, who has been well-known for his detailed acting, first defined Min Ju-young as a reality monster with a normal face that existed before and still exists next to us and will continue to live and breathe around us in the future. He said that he focused on how to interestingly solve Min Ju-young, already known as a villain, as he declared "'I'm a villain' and then peeled an onion 'What kind of villain would he be?', 'What kind of work can he do?'I tried to solve it with a character that constantly comes out.'," he said, revealing his worries and designs to build a multi-layered villain.
So Oh Jung-se wanted to express the most maximized change with not much change. I wanted to reveal the essence of Min Ju-young, the ugliest monster with the most ordinary face." Indeed, having approached carefully from the appearance setting, he directly proposed the setting of wearing the seemingly neat but most expensive costume, and devoted himself to expressing 'evil mediocrity' in detail.
Especially, he doesn't remember " very wellPointing to Min Ju-young's line, "I remember seeing adults lying on TV as children. The monster who hides behind power and capital and commits crimes is still by our side. We will continue to live with such monsters, and we will have to remember, punish, and check them." He also revealed insights that break the boundaries between the characters and the times. Attention is focusing on what traces Min Ju-young's appearance, which will create the most unfamiliar fear with the most ordinary face, will leave on the minds of viewers.
Yoon Dong-ju (Park Bo-gum) is the one who stands at the sharpest opposition point in the drama between Min Ju-young and Park Bo-gum, who have the monstrous nature of reality. The confrontation between Yoon Dong-ju, a hot young man who moves with a single sense of justice, and Min Ju-young, who commits evil with a casual face, will maximize the tension of the play. Oh Jung-se, who wanted his mask to be removed by Yoon Dong-ju, said "Min Ju-young seems to be a dry person who lives weakly, but suddenly his violence is expressed. I wanted to be more stimulating to Yun Dong-ju, so I tried to express the violence the most as far as I could express in the drama", he explained.
Then, about his relationship with Park Bo-gum "No need to say! I wanted to be caught by him quickly, excitedly, and at once," he said, hinting at the relationship between the play with his characteristic pleasant speech. He then added that "'He was a fellow actor who could learn a lot.'" He emphasized the density of breathing beyond mere confrontations of good and evil. Expectations are also growing for a fierce confrontation between Yoon Dong-ju and Min Ju-young 'Bad Boy' at this short but strong word.
Meanwhile, JTBC 'Good Boy' is a comic action youth investigation drama in which medalists who become police with specialties wear police identification cards around their necks instead of medals and fight against a world of unconscionable and foul play Director Shim Na-yeon, who directed 'Bad Mother', who won the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards TV Drama Prize, and writer Lee Dae-il, who presented differentiated genres such as 'Life on Mars' and 'Aide' series, are drawing attention for their work. It premieres Saturday, May 31, at 10:40 p.m. and will be released to viewers worldwide through the global streaming service Amazon Prime Video.
