After breaking its own highest ratings in just four episodes, JTBC's Saturday-Sunday Drama 'Good Boy', which has been on a steep rise, ranking first for two consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT drama integration category. While Oh Jung-se's performance, which stands out over and over again, has emerged as a new fun element of 'Good Boy', he is drawing attention as he is receiving a hot response, ranking 8th in the popularity index of drama actors.
Having predicted an unusual presence from his first appearance, he delicately expressed the cool nature of 'Min Ju-young' hidden behind the face of an ordinary civil servant, giving tension. His brazenness, which used the blind spot of the law to commit crimes and treat Yoon Dong-ju (Park Bo-gum) calmly and leisurely, maximized the evil aspect of the character, elaborating on the suspense of 'Good Boy'.
Oh Jung-se's detailed acting plays a big part in the reason why the confrontation between good and evil is more interesting. In the fourth episode, which was recently broadcasted, Min Ju-young burst into anger by showing a 180-degree different face to the head of the station (Shin Mun-sung) who did not accept his request. His calm but cool tone and cuteness made the character's duality clearer, completing the character's smooth transition between dark power and hypocrisy.
In this way, Oh Jung-se expresses the reality of Min Ju-young in a sophisticated and three-dimensional way of living as a seemingly ordinary public official, giving a sense of immersion to the entire play. His two faces, which cross good and evil, stimulate viewers' interest in each episode, raising expectations for future developments.
JTBC 'Good Boy', which features Oh Jung-se's transformation, will air at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
