'I'm into watching the rich.' Crico and millionaires are the rich

The longer the economic downturn, the more people's eyes are on the rich. Their daily lives, which are different from mine, are stimulating or, conversely, comforting.

Recently, entertainment programs focusing on 'rich' have appeared one after another in the broadcasting industry, reflecting this trend. KBS2 'Crazy Rich Korean', tvN STORY '10 billion breakfast', EBS, and E-channel co-production 'Millionaires' have different results, but they are drawing attention from viewers by shedding light on the lives and philosophies of rich people in common.

KBS 2TV 'Crazy Rich Korean', which first aired on the 15th, is a reality that deeply looks into the main job-oriented life of Koreans who are active on the global stage, 'K-People'. People with "why they have to succeed" in their respective fields, including world-class conductor Jang Han-na, Vietnamese soccer hero Kim Sang-sik, and CEO Betty Park, who runs a restaurant in Harlem, New York, appeared. They show wealth not just as a number but as a result of 'people who are crazy about their day jobs' and are sending heavy messages to viewers who are thirsty for self-made success stories.

tvN STORY's '10 billion Breakfast', which is intense from the title, traces where the '10 billion Value' comes from, with Dr. Oh Eun-young and actor Lee Yi-kyung following the morning routines and lifestyle habits of successful businessmen. It is not just an eating show, but a motivational entertainment that shows how the beginning of the day changes life.

The cast is also formidable. Top figures in the industry, including representatives of 180 billion won with frying pans, AI technology leaders, and bagel franchise founders, will appear to share their own time management methods, reading habits, and meditation routines. Dr. Oh Eun-young, the MC, delicately points out the inner side of successful people and adds persuasive power to their words and actions.

EBS and E-Channel co-production 'Seo Jang-hoon's Neighborhood Millionaires' is a program that most closely illuminates the life of the so-called 'The Real Rich'. Most of them are self-made figures who have achieved wealth after working for a long time instead of a colorful background. Starting from a Hanpyeong hair salon, a legendary hair designer with 10,000 pyeong of land, a famous Milanona 'Korea's No. 1 Milan International Student', and a person who switched from a steel CEO to a recycling company representative all appeared in one field.

The production team once said, `I look for people who have a clear philosophy about money rather than just those who have a lot of money.' The program adds to the weight of the program by trying to exclude advertising production as much as possible through confirmation hearing-level verification from the recruitment process. It shows the journey of finding a good adult, not just 'Observation of the rich' and quietly persuades the proposition 'Success is the attitude of life'.

It is clear why the three programs are receiving common attention. Because he answered the desire of the times when he was curious about how he could live like that, not about seeing a rich man. Programs that look at the life of 'Rich People' are providing both stimulation and comfort to viewers who want to find possibility and hope in the midst of a long recession.
