Is it a perfect finale or a new beginning. It is the third season of the last "Squid Game" that begins with "Baby" and ends with "Baby".
On the 27th, Netflix 'Squid Game 3', a story depicting the final fate of participants who survived the cruel game, and the loss of their best friends in a game that they participated again with their own purpose, will be released. Prior to the release, all episodes were revealed to reporters from the 1st to the 6th episodes. Starting with a fresh format of determining the winner through the game of death, 'Squid Game', which became the most beloved series in the world, wrapped up its story in Korea by releasing seasons 2 and 3 following season 1.
Perhaps the theme penetrating the entire episode of 'Squid Game 3' provided to the reporters is that new life blooms even in death. As already announced in season 2, the story progresses as Jun-hee (Jo Yu-ri) gives birth to a child in the game room, and Sung Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae) struggles to protect the child. In particular, the child's father, Myung-ki (Tim Si-wan), is also depicted as a person who is in internal conflict without revealing that he is his child, showing that all the topics of the characters in 'Squid Game 3' are focused on 'I'.
In this process, a choice of characters that would never have been made in general situations also emerges. It is embarrassing to see Geum-ja (Kang Ae-sim) stabbing her son Yong-sik (Yang Dong-geun) to save her child. It is frustrating to see Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon), who was depicted as a cool-headed character, showing infinite trust in the mysterious Captain Park (Oh Dal-soo), who has been wandering in the open sea for many days, and not listening to Choi (Jeon Seok-ho)'s suspicion. Even Noeul (Park Kyu-young) wants to save Kyung-seok (Lee Jin-wook) by walking to his life, but it is hard to understand that he is making sacrifices for a person who is not deeply related. Another regrettable point is that all the female characters in this movie act only to protect 'I'. The fact that the direction of women's use was limited to 'Motherhood' is expected to remain a disappointing point of 'Squid Game 3'.
Earlier, Park Kyu-young posted on her personal account what could be a powerful spoiler for the `Squid Game 3.' He released a photo of Lee Jin-wook wearing a pink soldier's outfit. Perhaps because of this, the scene of Noeul and Kyungseok trying to escape the island in military clothes is full of boredom. Even if you delete and listen to this content altogether, there seems to be no difficulty in proceeding with the story. It became a spoiler that dryly blew out content that could have an impact.
The game's sense of speed drops a bit to tell all this story. In the meantime, if it was fun to have eliminated players in real time while proceeding with the game by episode, season 3 focused on collecting and unraveling their narratives again. Since it moves around the child, there is also a point where the main character's viewpoint is slightly blurred.
The actors' performances strongly exude the feeling of "I 'Squid Game' coming out". From actors with decades of acting experience to beginners, most actors show contrived acting tones. Jo Yu-ri shows a fearful look in every scene, but unfortunately, there is only one expression. It's still a disappointing skill to act in a masterpiece. It seems to have shown excessive acting because it is aimed at overseas, but it is also a bit burdensome for domestic viewers to appreciate. Even Park Kyu-young is in urgent need of subtitles due to her overly lowered voice. It seems to have been a choice to maximize Noeul's character, but Park Kyu-young's charm is not revealed, leaving a regret.
Some people have kept the center in this feast of various acting tones. Lee Byung-hun, a frontman, expressed his complex feelings by controlling the play until season 3 following season 2, and Lim Si-wan also expressed explosive emotions as he showed fierce competition between paternal love for his child and his survival instinct to live in the final match.
The Squid Game has been the most loved piece in the world, and after finishing season three in Korea, it will now move to a foreign country. At the end of season 3, there is a world-class actor who many will be surprised by, revealing that the game continues. Attention is focusing on whether the masterpiece 'Squid Game' created by Korea will continue overseas beyond Korea.
