The popularity of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama will be continued by director Byun Young-joo, actor Ko Hyun-jung and popular rookie Jang Dong-yoon.

The production presentation for SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Warts: Murderers' Outing' was held at SBS Hall in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 4th.

Director Byun Young-joo and actors Ko Hyun-jung, Jang Dong-yoon, Cho Sung-ha, and E.L. attended the scene to share their honest stories about the production background, character interpretation, and breathing of the work.

The story is about a serial killer nicknamed the `Murder's Outing' after brutally killing five people in an abandoned mine village in 2002, and 23 years later, he will be in the spotlight again with the occurrence of copycat crimes. It declared differentiation from existing crime thrillers in that it focused on stories of people struggling not to make victims without `heroizing' criminals.

Director Byun Young-joo, who directed the production, explained the intention of the production, saying, `It is the story of a son suffering from his mother and the record of his efforts not to make a victim.'

Ko Hyun-jung plays Jeong In, the character who brutally killed five men in the play. It is not just a killer, but it adds weight by exploring the inner side of the character why he made such a choice. He always put his life as a human being before the identity of 'Mom' while playing Jeong-shin. He continued to worry about each scene by consulting with the director about the number of different cases the character can choose from. Confiding with his recent experience of stopping filming due to poor health, "I was able to return because of the consideration of my fellow actors, so I became more affectionate with the work. 'Warts' is not a drama that someone completes with one person, but a work that brings everyone's strength together,' he said, expressing his touching feelings.

Jang Dong-yoon portrays a complicated inner side as Cha Soo-yeol, the son of 'The Devil'. Laughing that the job of a detective suits him because of his nosy personality "It was challenging because it was his first detective character, but I was happy to be in touch with my human tendency. I'm excited that I can do more similar characters in the future." As for the mother-and-son chemistry with Ko Hyun-jung, there were many moments when I got goosebumps because he performed the character Jung Yi-shin more perfectly than I imagined. He confessed that he was considerate like a colleague, so the way to the set was fun and happy.

Ko Hyun-jung also said, "There was a time when I couldn't take my eyes off because I thought there was such a pretty actor"He was an actor who gave a lot of energy as an actor-to-actor rather than a mother-to-son relationship." It was nice to receive this energy from a male actor for the first time in a while, and I want to continue to support him" in response, creating a warm atmosphere.

It adds tension and weight to the role of Choi Joong-ho, who tracks the serial murder imitation case. He said "The setting of a serial killer mother and a detective son itself was a very difficult role, but I enjoyed filming even in tension at the scene. There were a lot of good scenes," he said, asking for expectations. EL played the role of Kim Na-hee, the oldest detective in the investigation team. He said, "I had so much fun filming that I wanted to go to the scene quickly."

Director Byun Young-joo also revealed behind-the-scenes casting. As soon as he read the script, actor Ko Hyun-jung came to mind. I was sure you'd show me a face that I never imaginedActor Jang Dong-yoon thought it would be better to maximize the character who is bright but has a lot of inner pain. Cho had the trust he had worked with for a long time, and Lee El was an actor he wanted to be with for a long time. In addition, actor Ko Hyun-jung has the power to control chemistry with her counterparts. It was a very happy experience as a director."

Thoughts on meeting with SBS for the first time in a long time were also reported. Ko Hyun-jung said, `There was happening in the previous work, but SBS has many memories. It's fun and nice to meet you at SBS after a long time." Director Byun Young-joo said, `I want to be the most loved director of SBS"As much as we made it fun, I hope it will be fun for the viewers."

Meanwhile, SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Warts: The Murderer's Outing' will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on the 5th.
