EBSSandbox Network Co-produced NEW Annie Somaekguffin Click! The first episode of 'World Travel' on November 9th

Animated film co-produced by EBS, an educational public broadcaster, and Sandbox Network, a digital entertainment company 'SOMACGUFFIN: Click! World Travel' premieres Nov. 9 at 11:55 a.m. on EBS 1TV.

The work, which consists of 13 episodes (26 episodes), is a new type of animation that EBS has not tried before, and targets children and families of elementary school students or older, away from the existing infant-centered content. It is designed as a prime-time family culture animation that can be watched by all ages while maintaining the identity of educational broadcasting and capturing fun, emotion, and family love in a balanced way.

'SomacGuffin: Click! World Travel' depicts a left-handed adventure experienced by the Somaekne family, who won a world travel prize, traveling around the world, including Spain, Australia, Brazil, and Egypt. The characteristic of this animation is that it provides colorful attractions and fun, ranging from mysterious game monsters 'Randion' that are emerging in each country to game elements.

In addition, by vividly expressing cultural heritage and attractions from around the world, such as the Tomato Festival in Spain and Big Ben in the UK, children's viewers can develop an understanding and curiosity about the wider world. Above all, it warms the process of families traveling together and understanding each other and growing up to convey the importance of family to viewers.

This project is a meaningful collaboration example in which EBS and Sandbox Network combine their strengths. EBS added its long-established educational and children's content production know-how and reliability as a public broadcaster, while Sandbox Network added creator IP, trendy content planning, and excellent production capabilities to communicate with the digital native generation.

In particular, it is noteworthy that it has implemented crossover content that encompasses not only the existing fan base but also TV viewers based on the IP of popular creator 'Somaek Gerpin' belonging to the Sandbox Network with more than 10 million subscribers. Through this collaboration, EBS plans to expand the role of public broadcasting in the changing media environment and provide high-quality educational content to more children and families.

'SomacGuffin: Click! World Travel' will be broadcast sequentially on major kids cable and IPTV platforms starting with EBS on Nov. 9. It will then be expanded into a learning cartoon series through Sandbox Network's own publishing brand 'SANDBOX STORY' and published from December. It also plans to lead to various commercialization and digital licensing businesses such as toys, board games, stationery, and collective card games so that one IP can meet children in various forms.

EBS will continue to increase the competitiveness of Korean children's content through collaboration with excellent partners and continue to introduce content that works in the global market.
