'Would You Marry Me' Soars Globally and Domestically, Ranks 2nd on Disney Worldwide



SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Woo Merimi (directed by Song Hyun-wook, Hwang In-hyuk / script by Lee Ha-na / production studio S, Samhwa Networks)' is receiving great response from global viewers. As of the 21st, according to FlixPatrol, a global OTT content ranking website, 'WJMERI' ranked second worldwide in the Disney+ TV show category. Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, as well as the existing top countries, have entered the top 10 and continue to be popular overseas.

The domestic response is also on a high note. As a result of a survey by Good Data Corporation Fundex, a TV topical research firm, 'Universe Merimi' ranked third in the topical drama category in the third week of October (October 13-19). The ratings for the last four episodes were up to 8.9%, and the 2049 target audience soared to 2.78%. In particular, 2049 viewership was on the rise for the fourth consecutive time, supporting the rise in popularity of the work.

At the center of this popularity is romance, which stimulates rapid development and excitement. In the play, the process of overcoming the crisis in which Kim Woo-joo (Choi Woo-sik) and Yoo Mary (Jeong So-min) are disguised newlyweds has increased the sense of immersion. On top of that, director Song Hyun-wook's unique directing of 「Ending Cutting」 adds tension and fun to each episode, drawing favorable responses from viewers.




In particular, in the fourth episode, the scene where Woo-joo helped Mary by realizing that Mary was her first love 'Ki-ling girl' exploded her excitement. Mary's ex-fiancé, Kim Woo-joo (Seo Beom-jun), then appears "It's me, how are you?"The ending ended with a phone call, raising expectations for the next episode.
