TV CHOSUN's new Monday-Tuesday mini-series `Because There Will Be No Next Life' (directed by Kim Jung-min, scripted by Shin Yi-won) depicts the real growth period of forty or three friends who face barriers in their lives, including parenting, career break, divorce, infertility, and marriage. The trailer for the first episode was released ahead of the first broadcast at 10 p.m. on November 10, arousing sympathy from viewers.
Gyeongdan girl Jonah-jung (played by Kim Hee-sun) portrays the day of a housewife who is driven by child-rearing, going out, and reality, saying that marriage is a grave and a hell for a woman. Even in the indifferent laughter of her husband (played by Yoon Park) and the resentment of her friends, the image of Jonah-jung holding out, saying, `I'm happy enough,' evokes bitterness and laughter at the same time.
Koo Joo-young (Han Hye-jin) talks about the reality of being tired of infertility and her husband's non-cooperation, and Lee Il-ri (Jin Seo-yeon) treats her younger boyfriend as if she is cool, but she shows anxiety inside. In the midst of each one's troubles, Jonah Jeong bursts out her desperation for a return, saying, `I want to work, I'm dying.' And the friends say, `Then do it, what are you hesitating about?," he says, giving a boost.
The production team asked for expectations, saying, `We will express 200% of support to the 'old comrade' who have been in trouble.'
'Because There's No Next Life' premieres Nov. 10 at 10 p.m. and will also stream on Netflix.
