Director Lee Sang-il of National Treasure has been selected as a representative work of the Academy..a story that will be shared around the world

Director Lee Sang-il said "It's a story to be sympathetic around the world, challenging the U.S. Academy Awards as the representative of Japanese movies."

On the afternoon of the 13th, the press and distribution premiere of the Japanese movie 'National Treasure' (directed by Lee Sang-il) was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Lee Sang-il, a Korean director in Japan, attended the premiere.

Director Lee Sang-il, who presented 'National Treasure' at the American Academy Awards in March next year as the representative of Japanese films, said "Kabuki is a representative traditional Japanese art. Even if the world does not know about Kabuki, it will have an image of Kabuki. And there is empathy for human dramas. I think that not only Japan but the whole world will be interested in building their skills by risking their lives on various kinds of art" expressed confidence.

A film of novelist Shuichi Yoshida's novel of the same name, 'National Treasure' is a painting of Kabuki actor's half-life until he blossomed his talent and was selected as a human national treasure. Yoshizawa Ryo, Yokohama Ryusei, Takahata Mitsuki, Terajima Shinobu, Morinana, Kurokawa Soya, Watanabe Ken, and director Lee Sang-il of 'Hula Girls'The Evil'The Unforgiven' got the megaphone. 'National Treasure', which was released in Japan on June 6, will be released in Korea on the 19th.
