IU and Byeon Wooseok Team Up for Disney+ Romance ‘Perfect Crown’

'The 21st Century Grand Duchess confirmed the release of Disney+ in the first half of 2026. '21st Century Grand Duchess' is a drama about the romance of a tycoon who has everything against the backdrop of the 21st century constitutional monarchy Korea, but who is annoying because his status is only a commoner and a son of a king, but who is sad because he can't have anything. Director Park Jun-hwa, who excelled in creating a consensus among the characters with delicate productions in 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?', 'Wedding', 'Wedding: Light and Shadows', and 'Love on a Single Tree Bridge', wrote the play by Yoo Ah-in, who won the Excellence Award in the Feature Series for the 2022 MBC Drama Playwriting Contest. In particular, at the time of the award, it was praised for its excellent dramatic fun based on progressive characters and solid stories, raising expectations.
Above all, while expectations are high on the combination and synergy of actors IU and Byun Woo-seok, who are currently drawing the most attention, they are expected to show a new aspect by predicting another life character.

Byun Woo-seok, who has become a popular trend by making everyone's heart pound with his song "Bounce With Sunjae", plays the role of "Lee Wan", a sad man who can't have anything but his royal status. He is a person who hides his fiery heart due to his position as the second son of the royal family, who cannot shine or make a sound. The two people, who have lived in similar situations due to their pain and walls, but have made different choices, meet a turning point in their lives through each other, face a new inner world, and experience unique emotions. IU and Byun Woo-seok will delicately express the multi-layered changes of these characters and present a heavy presence and exciting chemistry.
Based on a solid story, actors IU and Byun Woo-seok's legendary combination '21st Century Grand Prince Lady' will be released on Disney+ in the first half of 2026.
