Disney+'s high-end series 'Made in Korea', which will be the first OTT challenge directed by Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung, and Woo Min-ho in 2025, confirmed its release on Dec. 24, releasing a trailer for 'Businessman'. "Made in Korea" is a story about a man who tries to reach the peak of wealth and power by using Korea and the country as a profit model where chaos and leaps coexist in the 1970s, and a prosecutor who traces him to the edge of the cliff with a scary tenacity "Jang Geon-young" (Jung Woo-sung) face huge events throughout the times.
First, Hyun Bin, who has established himself as a representative actor in Korea, will play the role of a man 'Baek Ki-tae', who burns his endless ambitions for wealth and power using the country as a business model, making an intense acting transformation with a new face not seen before. On top of that, actor Jung Woo-sung, who controls the screen with his wide acting skills, three-dimensionally expresses a multi-faceted character who hides persistent persistence behind a strong laugh as a prosecutor who digs up the case with near-crazy tenacity. Actor Woo Do-hwan, who has faithfully built his own acting world, will play the role of Baek Ki-tae, an officer from the Korea Military Academy and younger brother of 'Baek Ki-tae', deeply portraying his ambivalent feelings toward his brother and his desire for success. In addition, the all-time casting lineup, consisting of top actors with solid acting skills and various charms, including Cho Yeo-jeong, Seo Eun-soo, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il, Kang Gil-woo, Noh Jae-won, Lily Frankie, and Park Yong-woo, will create explosive synergy and create a perfect sense of immersion.
In addition, the meeting between director Woo Min-ho, who showed unrivaled insight into modern Korean history by directing 'Harbin', 'Namsan managers', and 'insiders', and the production company Hive MediaCorp, which proved its outstanding production capabilities with 'Seoul Spring', raises expectations for 'Made in Korea'. In particular, this is the first OTT series directed by director Woo Min-ho, and the heavy directing power that has been shown in the film will be demonstrated without regret. With solid storytelling and overwhelming mise-en-scène, six series are expected to provide a cinematic experience that will soon become six films.
The trailer for the released 'Businessman' catches the eye at once with the appearance of 'Baek Ki-tae'(Hyun Bin), who smiles significantly in a tense atmosphere. Then, 'Jang Geon-young' (Jung Woo-sung) and 'Baek Ki-hyun' (Woo Do-hwan) with grim expressions and characters who reveal their presence with just one scene appear one after another, making us look forward to the unpredictable story of the characters caught up in the desire. Amid the heightened atmosphere, 'Baek Ki-tae's intense action on the plane with the words `I'm just a businessman' piqued his curiosity about the business world, heralding the epic of a person who risked everything to reach the peak of wealth and power.
Meanwhile, 'Made in Korea' has confirmed the production of season 2 and continues filming smoothly with the aim of releasing it in the second half of 2026. The fact that the follow-up production was quickly confirmed before the release of season 1 proves infinite trust in the work and raises expectations for its move as a masterpiece series.
Disney+'s original series 'Made in Korea', which will mark the end of 2025 with all-time casting and well-made productions meeting, tight confrontation of three-dimensional characters, and dopamine-exploding stories, will be available with a total of six episodes, with two episodes on December 24, two on December 31, one on January 7, and one on January 14 through Disney+.
