The top-rated independent art film "The Master of the World" exceeded 60,000 viewers after the second weekend of its release, easily surpassing the records of director Yoon Ga-eun's previous works "Us" (53,141) and "My House" (56,852).
The "Master of the World", which drew explosive favorable reviews from the media, critics, and audiences as one of the "Korean films of the year", continues to rise due to a steady influx of audiences despite a decrease in the number of theaters compared to the first week of its release.
In particular, on October 26, the first Sunday of its release, it recorded 16.2% of seat sales, and on the second Wednesday, October 29, it achieved 19.1% of seat sales, proving its strong word-of-mouth potential. During the second weekend (Friday to Sunday), a total of 17,724 spectators were attracted, recording an average weekend seat sales rate of 15.4%.
