Roy Kim recently met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Gangnam, Seoul, saying, `I promised to take off my top at the festival if the new song 'As You Are' is in the top 10 of the music charts.' `But I can't do hair removal.'
The new song 'As It Is' is an unreleased song performed by Roy Kim at his solo concert 'Roy Note' in 2023, and it will be newly arranged into a band sound suitable for this spring and officially released on the 2nd.
'As I am' contains a message to love us as we are, even if it is incomplete. Roy Kim laughed, `If I could love you as you are, I thought there would be no painful farewell, so I wrote pretty lyrics.'
The cheerful sound of the band stands out with "It's a song with the band members who have been with me for 12 years. I think it's the best sound that's been released so far, maybe because it's been working together for a long time. It's my favorite sound."
The recent band boom coincides with the timing, drawing attention. Roy Kim says "There's a boom in bands, and when I was in the middle of music, and when love started to sprout, I think I always started with band music. I used to be a vocalist in the band. I started singing with band music like Green Day, Oasis, and Nirvana. So far, my spring song is more like a ballad, so I'm back with a band music that could come out in a good timing this spring."
