On the 1st of last year, Oh Hyun-kyung died at a nursing home in Gimpo in the morning.
Oh Hyun-kyung, who is known to have been battling the disease for more than six months after collapsing from a cerebral hemorrhage, eventually died quietly.
Oh Hyun-kyung, who first appeared on stage in 1955 as a third year high school artist Yoo Chi-jin's work 'Scarrying God', served as the founding driver of the theater company's experimental theater and was recognized for her acting skills with 'Spring Day', 'Hwigaro's Marriage', 'Scarlet of Maeng Jinsa's House', and 'Scarlet of March'.
After that, he entered the entertainment industry in 1961 as the first KBS open talent and appeared in the TV Sonbyeongbeop(1987-1993) to reveal his presence in the public. In 1992, he won the grand prize at the KBS Drama Acting Awards for his work.
The deceased briefly stopped acting after suffering from esophageal cancer and stomach cancer, but returned to the theater stage in 2008 and continued to perform on stage, showing extraordinary acting enthusiasm.
Lee Soon-jae, who appeared on tvN's entertainment show `You Quiz on the Block" in April last year, commented on his visit to the funeral of the late actor Oh Hyun-kyung "When he was young, he was very clear and cheerful. The audience is funny. This is the best. And soon. I missed him," he said.
At Oh Hyun-kyung's funeral ceremony, Lee Soon-jae actually said "I'm going to go soon, so go meet me again. Goodbye" he paid tribute to the deceased. Lee Soon-jae said "If the conditions permit, the happiest thing for us is to die during the performance. He jokingly said, "It is the happiest death to fall down on the stage and die, and it is said that it would be a happy moment as an actor."
He had a daughter, actress Oh Ji-hye, and son Oh Se-ho with his wife, actress Yoon So-jung, who passed away in 2017.
