He later died of acute sepsis while being diagnosed with bacterial encephalitis and treated. At that time, the results of the COVID-19 test were negative.

After his physical condition deteriorated, Lee Chi-hoon went in and out of the hospital two days ago due to lymphadenitis, but today he has even added strong body aches. I hope it's not COVID-19. Lee Chi-hoon's funeral was held in a morgue, and his legacy was donated to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. Lee Chi-hoon's mother said "The son was good and frugal even during his lifetime. He was a person who shared a good influence with the people around him. I decided to donate because I thought my son in heaven would be even more happy if I used the property left by my son to save his life" he said.

However, in October of the following year, it was known that Lee Ji-hoon's mother also passed away, making the surroundings even more sad. Meanwhile, Lee Chi-hoon was born in 1988 and made his face known by appearing on comedy TV Ulzzang Era, and later worked as an African TV BJ.
