The right to vote feels like a right that is naturally given to everyone at a certain age. But that one vote contains the blood, sweat, and time shed by countless people to win the principles of democracy 'ordinary, equal, secret, and direct'. It sheds light on the voices of the people who played a central role in expanding voting rights, and reflects on the weight of rights we have easily passed.

The role of Ye Seung-yi in the movie `Gift of Room 7' that touched the hearts of 10 million viewers, actor Gal So-won, is already 20 years old and will participate in the first vote of her life in this election. It's the first official election, but Sowon says she felt the value of one vote ahead of her through class elections when she was in school. As indirect elections continued under the military regime, democracy was reduced to a system in name only in Korea. It was citizens who took to the streets in June 1987 that changed the injustice. The democratic uprising in June, which shook the nation, led to a constitutional amendment to the direct presidential system and led the people to choose the president themselves. Through the story of Kim Young-nam, who sang 'Jinhongok' in honor of the souls of those killed in the democratic uprising, and Lee Jong-chang, who helped Lee Han-yeol, who was shot by tear gas at the Yonsei University protest site, the story of the day in 1987 when he fought for the right to vote.

Article 1, Paragraph 1 of the Constitution 'The Republic of Korea is a democratic republic' This sentence, which became the foundation of the country after Korea's liberation, started from the philosophy of an independence activist. It is Cho So-ang, who was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. In his provisional charter, it is clearly stated that the Republic of Korea shall be a democratic republic. What is more surprising is that the details of the right to vote and the right to vote are very specific. Cho So-ang's descendant, Jo In-rae, listens to the philosophy's depth and vision ahead of its time.
