Chairman Bang Si-hyuk and five other executives of Hive (352820) were selected as the "2025 Billboard Global Power Players".

Billboard, an American music media outlet, announced '2025 Billboard Global Power Players' on its website on the 20th (Korea time). The list of leading music business leaders in global regions other than the United States was 'Board International Power Players' until last year.

The Hive executives selected this year are Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, Hive CEO Lee Jae-sang, Hive Latin America CEO Ga Jong-hyun, Hive Music Group APAC CEO Shin Young-jae, and Hive 3S6T business CEO Oh Yu-jin. Bang was named the fourth after 2018, 2019, and 2021. CEO Shin was included in the list for the fourth consecutive year, and CEO Oh was included in the list for the second time after last year. CEO Lee Jae-sang and CEO Ga Jong-hyun were selected for the first time.

Billboard said Hive is boasting a lineup of brilliant artists such as BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and New Jeans, while accelerating the company's global expansion through AI technology. In this regard, Superton, an AI audio company acquired by Hive in 2023, launched a virtual pop group and introduced improved content by applying Superton's multilingual pronunciation technology to Tomorrow X Together's concert video.

In an interview with Billboard, CEO Lee Jae-sang said "The entire music industry is still undervalued""The hourly cost of streaming is significantly lower than that of other forms of entertainment or services. This not only means corporate profits, but also everyone in the music industry, from creators to on-the-job staff, is not being rewarded for their true values."

Noting that AI can help musicians, Lee said "I believe the future of the music industry will depend on how carefully and appropriately we utilize technology and regulate it at the same time."
