On the 16th, the Chuncheon District Court sentenced Han So-hee's mother Shin, who was put on trial on charges of opening a gambling place, to one year in prison and two years of probation and ordered 120 hours of community service.
Shin was accused of colluding with members of illegal gambling sites he learned through Telegram to open a total of seven illegal gambling centers in Wonju, Ulsan, and Gyeongju after being granted access codes and managerial authority. In addition to taking a certain percentage of gambling users' bets as commissions, it was also revealed that they tried to avoid responsibility for the operation by using 'baji president'.
Earlier, Shin had a history of being fined 5 million won for similar charges in 2021. The first trial ruled the suspended prison sentence in consideration of repeated crimes, the scale of criminal proceeds, and the pending detention, and the prosecution appealed against it, but the sentence was rejected in the second trial and confirmed.
Among them, the fact that Shin is the birth mother of actress Han So-hee was mentioned again, drawing keen attention. However, Han So-hee said she had already lost contact with her mother for a long time at the time of the controversy over 'Debt2' and confessed directly that she grew up under her maternal grandmother after her parents' divorce as a child.
