I-DLE Begins New Era with 8th Mini Album



Group i-dle starts a new chapter with 'We are'.

i-dle (Mi-yeon, Min-ni, Soyeon, Yu-ki, and Shuhua) will release their 8th mini album 'We are', which means 'we', following the 'I' series they have built for 7 years.

Kids made their debut with the mini album 'I am' back in 2018. Starting with 'I am', which contains 'I', which introduces each member and team, it attracted attention with its own production, which is rare for a girl group. Along with the success of the debut song 'LATATA', he successfully succeeded in mini albums 'I made', 'I trust', and 'I burn', establishing a unique world view of music.

2022 was a huge inflection point for children who have been growing steadily. The title song of the first full-length album 'I NEVER DIE' and the title song 'Nxde' of the fifth mini album 'I love' opened the 'Children's Era' by sweeping domestic music charts and music broadcasts.

He continued his momentum by winning 13 music broadcast trophies and million seller titles with his 6th mini album 'I feel'Queencard' released in 2023. The second full-length album '2', which was released the following year, broke its own record with a triple hit of 1.53 million sales in the first week of its release, including the pre-released song 'Wife', the title song 'Super Lady', and the track 'Because I Hate Being Sick'.




In particular, children have established themselves as top artists by winning their first grand prize since their debut in 2024 at the 'Melon Music Awards', which received the Rookie of the Year award in 2018.

After renewing the contract with all the members last year, the children will now return to their 8th mini album. Prior to the album's release, the track 'Girlfriend' heralded another world of music for children with messages and cheerful sing-alongs to comfort their friends who had broken up.

Starting with 'I', the children, who have built up a narrative one by one, entered a new journey by changing the team name from (girl) children to children. With a clear theme consciousness and colorful sound, attention is drawn to the activities that the children who are "upward" will unfold as 'us'.
