Ko Yoon-jung recently met with Sports Chosun and was interviewed at the end of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 「Someday, the Life of a Korean Major」 (played by Kim Song-hee, directed by Lee Min-soo, hereinafter Unseuljeon).
'Unseuljeon' is said to have depicted the changes and growth of all the characters as well as the four majors. If it was first noticed due to external factors such as strikes of majors and medical gaps before broadcasting, it was recognized by some viewers through their narratives after the release. Although there is still a cold reaction from the public, it is evaluated that Oi-young, played by Ko Yoon-jung, played a big role in growing from an unfavorable character to a favorable character in the early stages.
Looking back on his similarities in Oi-young's growth, Ko Yoon-jung said "I also started like Oi-young " Ko Yoon-jung "There was no desire to look good in order to do well in social life, but only to do a good job. But while working, I felt that relationships are important, and I thought I wasn't interested in others, but I found out that I liked people. I don't know when I was shooting, but I felt emotion on the last day of shooting. As I got attached to him a lot, I think he looks similar by mixing Um Jae-il and Ohi-young, who like people.
Since his debut in 2019, he has been attracting attention for his beauty and has risen to the main character's position at once. Following 'Welcome', 'Moving' received worldwide attention. Through "Moving", he won the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards for Best New Actress and was recognized for his acting skills and star quality. Looking back on his rookie days, Ko Yoon-jung said, "There were so many things I didn't know, so I couldn't ask questions because I didn't know anything even when I had to ask. I think I've learned how to make acting comfortable on the spot by filming with actors of my age, and I think I've learned my own social life."
Ko Yoon-jung continued, "What I felt while looking at not only Oh Yi-young but also other characters, 'If you don't know, you have to ask questions'." There's a quota I have to make, and if there's something I don't know, I ask and get confirmed, and I feel like I'm going to get in trouble if I ask. In the field, the director is like a teacher, so I don't think I was good at asking questions at the beginning of my debut. 'Actor doesn't even know this?I'm afraid I'll say '. Rather, I don't think I asked any questions. But now I ask a lot of questions, give a lot of opinions, and ask a lot of questions if there's anything I don't know, but I think I was worried that I might be disappointed in the beginning. I'm sure you weren't disappointed because you didn't expect it, but I don't think you wanted to disappoint," he said with a smile.
As Ko Yoon-jung, she is set to grow further in the future. Ko Yun-jeong "Living as Ko Yun-jeong is fun. I don't think I have much motivation for something that resembles Oi-young. There is less to be hooked. If you're into it, you sell it for years, but if you're into dating and work, you're the type to work hard. I think I'm stuck with work now. 'Does the CEO like it?' He says, but I really think so. I think the CEO likes it. I hope you enjoy it, saying, "Who doesn't like it when I ask for work?"I'm determined.
Unseuljeon, which ended with the 12th episode on the 18th, is a spin-off drama about the development of residents who dream of becoming doctors. Ko Yoon-jung effectively led the play by playing the main character in the play, Oi-young, depicting the wandering and growing youth while building a love line.
