IU Donates 150 Million Won for Children’s Day to Support Youth and Kids With Disabilities

Singer IU has practiced warm sharing for children and teenagers for Children's Day 2025.

On the 5th, EDAM Entertainment, the agency, donated a total of 150 million won under the name of `IUanna' (IU+Uanna) to celebrate Children's Day," he said. The donation will be used to improve the healthy growth and living environment of self-reliance-ready youth and children with disabilities.

The donation was 62 million won to 'Eden Iville' and 90 million won to 'Hansarang Village' and 'Hansarang Disabled Nursery'. Donations of 'Eden Iville' will be used to create a space for self-reliance preparation youth and support gifts and events on Children's Day, and donations of 'Hansarang Village' and 'Hansarang Disabled Nursery' will be used to improve the practical life of children with disabilities, such as replacing old boilers, medical and rehabilitation treatments, and supporting gifts on Children's Day.

IU, who debuted in 2008, has been continuously donating until now. He is also famous for donating under the name of IUANA every year, including his debut anniversary, his birthday, and the New Year's Day. IU, who was the youngest person to be named in Forbes magazine 「30 Asian Donation Heroes」 in 2019, donated 200 million won in March to support large-scale forest fire damage in the Gyeongsang region and improve the treatment of firefighters.
