Kim Ji-hoon, from the fate of the king to his inner conflict...Becoming an immersive master

Actor Kim Ji-hoon is raising his sense of immersion through multi-layered acting in the drama 'Going Palace'.

Kim Ji-hoon plays the role of King Lee Jung, who leads the center of SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Gwigung' (script Yoon Soo-jung, director Yoon Sung-sik) by tracking down the identity of the octogenarian who threatens the royal family. Until the 10th episode, which aired on the 17th, Kim Ji-hoon delicately portrayed Lee Jung's inner side in a development that could not be predicted an inch ahead through meticulous and restrained performance.

In particular, Lee Jung's emotional change, which is shown in the relationship with Kang Cheol (Yook Sung-jae) and Yeori (Kim Ji-yeon), was completed in more three dimensions through Kim Ji-hoon's acting variation. In the scene of confessing the truth that he had kept quiet in the past to Yeori, who was saddened by the death of his grandmother Neop-deok (Gil Hae-yeon), Lee Jung's complicated feeling of calmly accepting his fate as a king was conveyed.

The scene of giving advice to Kang Cheol, who was troubled by the emotion of Yeon-mo, revealed Lee Jung's human side and even caused excitement. In particular, Kang Cheol and Yeori's support for joy while hiding their complex hearts after becoming lovers raised the level of immersion in the play with Kim Ji-hoon's unique understated emotional performance.

Lee Jung-eun is not fully happy due to the absence of her servant Yoon Gap (played by Yook Sung-jae), but she is playing a central role by saving steel and softness and sharply watching the suspicious movements of her maternal grandfather Kim Bong-in (Son Byung-ho) and Dae-dae (Han Soo-yeon). In the face-to-face scene with the blind Pungsan (played by Kim Sang-ho), he maximized tension and made his hands sweat.

Kim Ji-hoon is bringing every scene to life with facial expressions that go beyond slickness and sharpness, detailed dialogue tones, and dense action acting. The character Lee Jung, who has both the weight of being a king and a human connection, is highly complete, leaving a deep lingering impression in each episode.

Meanwhile, 'Going Palace' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:55 p.m.
