According to Gigi Auction, a platform specializing in real estate bidding and short selling on the 15th, an auction for Ichon-dong apartment (exclusive area of 293㎡, about 89 pyeong) under Lee Kyung-sil's name will be held at the Seoul Western District Court on the 27th. The auction price was set at 2.55 billion won.
This apartment is a large equilibrium with a view of the Han River and was completed in the early 1970s. It consists of a total of 24 households, and it has been confirmed that Lee Kyung-sil is actually living in the apartment after purchasing it for 1.4 billion won in 2007.
The reason for the auction is believed to be due to default. According to the copy of the register, Lee seems to have borrowed from A as collateral for the apartment, and A applied for a voluntary auction to the court in September 2023, claiming about 1.33 billion won. The bonds were then transferred to a loan company.
"The apartment is over 50 years old, and Yongsan-gu is tied to a land transaction permit zone, so it is not easy to trade in general," said Lee Joo-hyun, an expert at Geeji Auction. "This would have been the background for the auction."
Lee Kyung-sil is a representative female broadcaster who has been active since the 1990s and has appeared in various entertainment programs until recently.
