MBC said in a press release on the 19th that `We take the results of special labor supervision by the Ministry of Employment and Labor very seriously, and we will make prevention of recurrence, improvement of organizational culture, and compliance with labor-related laws as the top priorities of management.'
Earlier, the Ministry of Employment and Labor conducted a three-month special labor supervision on the case in which the late Oyoanna made an extreme choice in September last year after complaining of bullying in the workplace. Recently, although weather casters are not legal workers, there have been acts that deserve to be seen as bullying" he concluded. This was noted as an unusual measure to break the existing stance of the Ministry of Labor, which usually does not judge harassment against non-workers.
In response to this, MBC said "Oh."We take seriously the judgment that there has been bullying against Mr Anna and will take appropriate action against those involved"We are taking measures based on the organizational culture improvement plan that has already been submitted, and we will review and supplement the insufficient parts." he said.
MBC also promised to expand the clean center and strengthen the system for anyone to report anonymously regardless of employment type, saying, `We will make efforts to ensure that freelancers, non-regular workers, and employees of outsourced companies are not discriminated against.'
"We will also take appropriate measures after legal review on the judgment of the worker's nature of some freelancers.", vowing a responsible response.
Finally, MBC mourned the deceased, saying "I pray for the deceased" and "I bow my head to the bereaved family and offer words of consolation."
Meanwhile, the former weatherman Oyoanna died on his own at the age of 28. In January, a suicide note containing a complaint of bullying at work was found on the deceased's mobile phone, raising social controversy over how he died, and the contents of a group chat room with fellow weathermen were released, causing a stir.
The bereaved family filed a lawsuit for damages against A, who was identified as the subject of the harassment at the time, and the case is currently under trial.
In this special labor supervision, not only the Oyoanna incident but also the overall organizational culture in MBC was investigated. For freelancers PD, AD, and FD who work in the current affairs and culture sector, they plan to take corrective measures, such as writing labor contracts, in recognition of their worker characteristics.
The official results of MBC's special supervision by the Ministry of Employment and Labor will be announced as early as next week.

MBC will do its best to improve its organizational culture.
May the late Oyoanna rest in peace.
I would also like to bow down and express my condolences to the bereaved families.
Culture Broadcasting takes the results of the Ministry of Employment and Labor's special labor supervision announced today very seriously. We will do our best to prepare measures to prevent recurrence, improve organizational culture, and comply with labor-related laws as the top priorities of management.
1. Culture Broadcasting Corporation will take seriously the judgment of the Ministry of Employment and Labor that there was an act of harassment against the late Oyoanna and will carry out efforts to improve the organizational culture without delay. Also, we will take appropriate measures for those involved. Culture Broadcasting is already taking improvement measures based on the 'Improvement Plan for the overall organizational culture' submitted to the Ministry of Labor earlier. With this announcement, we will repeatedly check and supplement any inadequacies.
2. We will do our best to ensure that colleagues working together in cultural broadcasting, such as freelancers, non-regular workers, and employees of outsourcing companies, are not discriminated against. In addition, we will further supplement and strengthen the system to improve problems that may arise between freelancers and non-regular workers as soon as possible. We will expand and strengthen the current clean center so that harassment or difficulties can be reported and improved immediately. Regardless of the type of employment, when colleagues recognize this, we will improve it so that anonymity can be guaranteed and reported.
3. We will take appropriate measures as soon as possible after a legal review on the judgment of the worker's nature of some freelancers.
Once again, I apologize to the bereaved families for the unfortunate incident of the late Oyoanna.
Pray for the bliss of dead.
